Where previously only traditional measurement methods were used, today we combine traditional land surveying with drones, 3D laser scanning, and digital data processing. <\/p><p>At TOPO4D, we do not believe in a single standard approach. Every project requires a well-thought-out strategy, tailored to the objective, accuracy, and legal context. <\/p><h4>Step 1: Analysis of your project<\/h4><p>Every assignment starts with a thorough analysis.<\/p><ul><li>What is the purpose of the measurement?<\/li><li>What level of accuracy is required?<\/li><li>Are there legal implications?<\/li><li>What output is needed: plan, point cloud, volume calculation, monitoring, or report?<\/li><\/ul><p>Based on this, we determine which technology is most suitable:<br\/>traditional surveying equipment, <a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/en\/drone-survey\/\">drone surveys<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/en\/3d-laser-scanning\/\">3D laser scanning<\/a>, or a combination of techniques.<\/p><h4>Step 2: Efficient field measurement<\/h4><p>Depending on the assignment, we work with:<\/p><ul><li>Total stations and GNSS for <a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/en\/land-surveyor\/\">boundary determination<\/a> and legal files<\/li><li>Drones for fast field measurements and volume calculations<\/li><li>3D laser scanners for complex structures and buildings<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/en\/monitoring\/\">Monitoring equipment<\/a> for continuous follow-up<\/li><\/ul><p>Drones play an important role in this. They allow us to map large or hard-to-reach areas quickly and safely.
