In this article, we explain what setting out entails, when it is necessary, and why accuracy is crucial.  <\/p><h2>What is setting out?<\/h2><p>Setting out is the accurate transfer of a design or plan to the terrain. This involves marking points, lines, and axes that indicate where foundations, walls, columns, pipes, or other structural components should be placed. <\/p><p>Setting out forms the link between the design and the execution on the construction site.<\/p><h2>Why is setting out important?<\/h2><p>Correct setting out ensures that:<\/p><ul><li>structures are built in the correct location<\/li><li>property boundaries and building lines remain respected<\/li><li>deviations or errors are avoided at an early stage<\/li><\/ul><p>Inaccurate setting out can lead to problems during or after construction, such as incorrectly placed foundations, conflicts with property boundaries, or costly repairs.<\/p><h2>How does setting out on construction sites work?<\/h2><p>Setting out is performed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/landmeter\/\">land surveyor<\/a> based on approved plans.
