This ratio is established through a distribution of shares, usually expressed in <strong>thousandths<\/strong>. <\/p><p>This distribution determines not only your voting rights within the co-ownership, but also your share in costs, charges, and decisions.<\/p><h2>Base deed and co-ownership regulations<\/h2><p>The rights and obligations of each co-owner are established in:<\/p><ul><li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/topo4d.be\/en\/report-of-division\/\"><strong>base deed<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li>the <strong>co-ownership regulations<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>Together, these form the statutes of the building.<\/p><p>The base deed includes, among other things:<\/p><ul><li>the description of the building<\/li><li>the distribution of shares in the common areas<\/li><li>the associated plans and technical documents<\/li><\/ul><h2>How are shares and thousandths determined?<\/h2><p>The distribution of shares is not arbitrary.
